II Thessalonians

II Thessalonians

Paul writes a second letter to the church in Thessalonica following up on his first one with many of the same themes. He encourages them that despite their persecution, they are to look forward to the Day of the Lord (Jesus’ return), and follow his example to serve others, work hard, and not remain idle.

I Thessalonians

I Thessalonians

The letter to the Thessalonians is written by the Apostle Paul, on behalf of himself, Silas and Timothy, to the church in Thessalonica. He is writing to express thanks and praise God for the report Timothy provided to him regarding how the church is doing. It is a letter of encouragement, and praise to God for their faithfulness.

Matthew

Matthew

The book of Matthew is recorded as a detailed account of Jesus’ life, the story of his birth, his message, and his many deeds. Matthew also served as a missionary, spreading the good news to other countries. His main focus and concern is to present Jesus to the Jewish people specifically, as a teacher and person greater than Moses, and a fulfillment of the Messianic prophesies specific to the Jewish people.
